Steven Cotton – CEO, Chairman, Founder
Steven Cotton is the Chairman, CEO, and Co-Founder of FireScope. Steve’s executive operating experience started as the CFO and Chief Development Officer for Panda Express. Steve and the other founders raised the growth capital, allowing the restaurant to grow from 5 to 300 restaurants in 5 years.
After leaving Panda Express, Steve helped build a start-up automotive company to $100M in revenue in four years. Steve then served as the CEO and Strategic advisor to four technology startups, returning each company to profitability and significantly increasing revenues. Steve is also the co-founder of CDK Ventures, a Merchant Banking Investment fund focused on providing private equity and advisory services to technology companies and specializing in mergers and acquisitions.
Steve’s focus is to achieve value creation for shareholders by understanding his customers’ businesses and providing technology solutions to help them simplify and improve their business models.
Christopher J. Mahoney – CFO
Mr. Mahoney is a Senior Finance Executive with 19 years of CFO-level experience. He has worked in public and privately-held companies in the manufacturing, service and software industries. He has been involved in three startups and has also worked for the 10th largest privately held company in Los Angeles County.
Chris has extensive M&A experience and has been responsible for the finances of three international operations. He has a strong risk management background, is adept at financial analysis and diagnostic control system implementation, and designing optimal capital structures to maximize shareholder value.
Chris has held an elective office in San Diego, is the past Treasurer of a philanthropic foundation, and is the past President of one of the largest youth baseball organizations in Orange County, California. Chris holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Northeastern University and an MBA from Pepperdine University.
John O’Shea – COO
John is a solutions-driven senior management executive with strong operations, sales and business development experience with a proven track record of increasing market share, growing revenue and profit, optimizing quality and morale; all with a very high level of customer satisfaction.
Strategically focused and driven with exceptional leadership skills. Effective at building and developing high-performance teams and leading change in highly competitive business environments. A critical problem solver with the highest levels of recognition in the Energy Industry.
Bryan Cantwell – SVP Customer Experience
Bryan is the Senior Vice President of Technology and Co-Founder of FireScope, Inc. With over 20 years experience in software development, technical sales, product testing and customer support, Bryan brings to FireScope a drive to build the most successful line of products possible.
He comes to FireScope most recently from AdvoCare where he served as a manager of Web User Interface and Oracle database / Oracle Applications development. Additionally, Bryan was development manager for the web commerce division of Vectrix leading a team of web commerce developers to create many successful projects. He also served team leadership, software development, software/hardware sales engineer and sales training roles for many years at IBM.
Bryan spent 8 years in the financial services industry as a licensed securities and commodities broker and also was a licensed principal for securities, options, commodities and futures trading.
Mark Ponthier – SVP Product Development
Mark is VP Core Development of FireScope, Inc. and brings 22 years of experience in designing and developing large scale, highly transactional systems. Prior to joining FireScope over 5 years ago, Mark was Engineering Director for Nexa Technologies and was the technical lead for their suite of low-latency and high-capacity global electronic trading products for active traders and automated trading systems.
It is that same mindset used to develop these trading systems that are used in the development of the FireScope suite of products. Prior to Nexa Technologies, Mark was co-owner of The Dalmatian Group for 11 years and during that time was involved in some of the largest software projects in the world and included work for such customers as Motorola, JP Morgan and Bank of America.
Mark attended the University of Louisiana at Lafayette (ULL) where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science. He also attended the Center for Advanced Computer Studies at ULL where he earned a Master of Science in Computer Science.
Ken Adamson – SVP Product Management
Ken is SVP Product Management of FireScope, Inc. Ken is a very customer focused individual who strives to delight customers through continuous delivery of value with great software. Ken has over 29 years in the systems and data center and hybrid cloud infrastructure management industry.
He also served as VP of Product Management at Proficio, a leading MSSP, where he launched ProView Plus with ThreatInsight risk scoring, executive dashboards that provide threat trends, overall threat landscape views, and a patent-pending threat scoring system.
Ken was an instrumental member of an extremely successful team leading to CA Technologies acquiring Nimsoft for $350M. He served as VP of Product Management at CA Technologies for the Infrastructure Management business unit and manage a world-class team of product managers.
David Coleman – SVP Global Sales & Business Development
With almost 30 years commercial experience, David brings a strong Sales and Business Development focus to FireScope.As a passionate advocate of customer-centricity, he excels in professional selling and delivering value for his clients by means of innovative, strategic and commercial application and focus combined with exceptional execution skills.
David has managed Sales and Business Development Software and Professional Services Sales teams in the Pharmaceutical, Telecoms, Banking and Finance verticals for a range of companies from start-up to stock market quoted entities.
Chris O’Connell – SVP Marketing
Chris O’Connell has two decades of B2B marketing experience in Europe & North America, with a focus on marketing strategy and execution for sales teams. He has first hand experience of go to market strategies into Managed Service Providers and the Global 2000 enterprise accounts.
Chris has worked with numerous software companies, including recent experiences at Idera, LogicMonitor, CA Technologies and BMC Software.
