Starting The Appliance

How To | Usage

1. Download FireScope Orchestrate:BE in your preferred format.
2. Unpack the download.
3. Start the virtual machine, using the appropriate player or server. The first time the virtual appliance is started, it may take a bit longer than normal as FireScope is initializing for the first time.
(Note : FireScope will need to lease an IP from your network via DHCP. If your installation is unable obtain a lease, please contact your network administrator)
4. When FireScope has finished loading, you will see a screen that displays the current IP address of the virtual machine, with a console menu to perform key system tasks. (Use this menu if you ever need to restart your FireScope installation)
5. Open a web browser and type in the IP address you saw in the previous step.
6. You're now ready to login to FireScope! 'Administrator' is the username, 'password' is the password. (We recommend you change this at your earliest opportunity) On initial login, you will be prompted to upload a license key. Use the file attached to this email to begin your trial. A sample dashboard is included, be sure and check out the FireScope Status tab while logged in as Admin.
