A Configuration Management Database typically consumes data from six or more federated sources to get a complete picture of configuration knowledge. Unfortunately, data repositories are not created equal. An excel spreadsheet that has only been sporadically updated over the years is not nearly as accurate as an Asset Management system that is updated daily. Yet, most CMDB's tend to blend all of this data together, leaving users to ponder where specific data points came from, and whether or not it can be trusted. Until now.

FireScope Orchestrate's Integrity Scoring feature enables administrators to score data sources based on accuracy, completeness and trust-worthiness. Each piece of data introduced to the Orchestrate is tagged with the integrity score of its data source, down to the attribute level. Users only have to hover over an attribute's label to see its integrity score, the source for this attribute's data, and when it was aggregated by FireScope CMDB.
