The table to the left provides an overview of the differences between the Free and Enterprise-Editions of the FireScope Data Now portlet. As you can see, Enterprise-Edition expands considerably on the Free version's already powerful feature set, not only in raw capabilities but in supported platforms and support for connecting to enterprise-grade databases.
While both versions offer quick, easy access to blend data into any Java portal, the Enterprise-Edition is optimized for large data sets common in large business environments. Client-side filtering and sorting make it easy for users to change the way they view their data without requiring the re-running of the query. Configurable results paging enhances performance and readability by breaking up data into multiple pages that are only delivered by the user's request.
Both versions of FireScope Data Now use the same code; entering an Enterprise-Edition license key unlocks the additional features. As a result, it's easy to upgrade from the Free-Edition to Enterprise-Edition. Simply purchase an Enterprise-Edition license key and apply it to your installation.
