Steven Cotton, CEO
Steven has worked with Lantronix, NASDAQ (LTRX) M2 Automotive and Panda as CFO and COO, raising $100M+ for each company. He is on the board of directors for several businesses and technology firms and has experience working overseas with channel and OEM partners. Steven was formerly working as the CEO of TDi to provide the industry's best enterprise application and device management solutions. TDi experienced a generous increase under his vision and leadership. Steven is an expert in security, compliance issues and best practices for business service management.
Mark Lynd, President
Mark previously served as Global CTO at Hudson Advisors in Dallas, Texas. He has served in various senior management and technical roles for companies such as Metromedia, Perot Systems, Amerada Hess, Vectrix and GTE, securing more than 18 years of experience in information technology and assurance. Mark has provided technology and operations due-diligence consulting for numerous equity groups and raised over $45M through various ventures.
Mark holds a Bachelor's degree from the University of Tulsa, along with industry certifications such as the CISSP, ISSAP, ISSMP, PMP and CEH. Along with being named Ernst & Young's "Entrepreneur of Year - SW Region" Finalist, and one of D Magazine's Internet Top 50 Professionals, he also presented the Doak Walker Award on ESPN. Mark currently serves on several corporate boards, and previously held a spot on the board of directors for SMU's Cox School of Business. Mark served honorably in the United States Army's 3rd Ranger Battalion, 2/187th Airborne, and the 82d Airborne Division.
Kevin Johnson, Executive Vice President
Before joining FireScope, Kevin worked at Siebel Systems where he was a member of Siebel's Executive Committee and served as the head of Sales and General Manager of European operations. He also filled the roles of Senior Vice President of Business Development, Vice President of Legal Affairs and Chair of the Siebel Pricing Committee. As Siebel's chief legal officer, Kevin helped CEO and founder Tom Siebel take Siebel Systems public in June 1996. Prior to this, he held various management and legal positions in Gupta Corporation, NETg and National Education Corporation. Kevin was a Litigation Associate with the law firm of Schramm & Raddue in Santa Barbara California, and also served as Atrari Inc.'s first Law Clerk while attending the University of Santa Clara School of Law. Kevin also attended the University of California at Davis where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Agricultural Economics.
Amit Kothari, Chief Financial Officer
Amit has over 10 years of financial experience in the technology industry. Before joining FireScope, he was Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer for Paciolan, Inc., serving a key role in its sale to Ticketmaster in 2008. Prior to this, Amit was Chief Financial Officer and VP-Controller at Autobytel, and also a Senior Manager at Andersen LLP. Through these positions, he specialized in the retail, manufacturing and distribution industries, as well as mergers and acquisitions, participating in over 50 successful transactions throughout his career. Amit holds a B.S. in Business Administration from the University of California at Berkeley and a M.B.A. from The Anderson School at UCLA.
Paul Appleby, Executive Vice President - Asia Pacific and Japan
Most recently Paul Appleby was Managing Director of Continental Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Asia Pacific and Japan for Travelex Plc, the world's largest non-bank Foreign Exchange provider. Prior to Travelex he was an executive with Oracle Corporation where he held the position of Vice President Asia Pacific. Both at Oracle and in his prior role as Vice President of Siebel Corporation, Paul was responsible for the development and execution of growth strategies across the Asia Pacific Region. In earlier roles, Paul was respectively CEO of publicly listed B2C ecommerce company Gocorp and Director of both Financial Services and Telecommunications for the German software company SAP.
