Steven Cotton

Steven Cotton, CEO

Steve is the CEO and co-founder of FireScope and brings more than twenty years of senior executive operating experience in both private and public high growth companies. Steve spent the last eight years running four technology companies as COO or CEO. All four companies experienced rapid growth under Steve's leadership and achieved substantial value creation for shareholders. Steve also has diverse operating experience across other industries. Steve was the CFO and Chief Development Officer for Panda Express which is the largest chain of Chinese fast food restaurants in the United States. Steve was directly responsible for raising the growth capital for Panda Express and all of its restaurant development during his tenure. Steve and the founders grew the company from 5 restaurants to over 300 restaurants in a 5-year period and the company currently generates over $1B in annual revenues. After Panda Express, as COO, Steve also helped build a start-up automotive company to $100 million in revenue in four years. Steve's leadership philosophy is to focus on understanding his customers businesses and providing technology solutions that help them simplify and improve their business models.

 

Mark Lynd

Mark Lynd, President and COO

In addition to his role as President and COO, Mark is the chief architect of all FireScope solutions, based on concepts he originally conceived of before co-founding FireScope. Mark previously served as Global CTO at Lone Star Funds\Hudson Advisors, a multi-billion dollar global private equity firm. Served six years as CEO of Vectrix, a venture-backed company and has served in various executive, senior and technical management roles with Metromedia, Perot Systems, Amerada Hess, DC Systems and GTE, securing more than 23 years of experience in IT, information security, media and ITSM. Mark holds a Bachelor's degree from the University of Tulsa, along with industry certifications such as the CISSP, ISSAP, ISSMP, PMP and CEH. He was named an Ernst & Young's "Entrepreneur of Year - SW Region" Finalist. He presented the Doak Walker Award on ESPN. Mark has served and serves on several corporate boards including FireScope, SMU's Cox School of Business, Vectrix and others. Mark served honorably in the United States Army's 3rd Ranger Battalion, and the 82d Airborne Division.

 

Kevin Johnson

Kevin Johnson, Executive Vice President

Before joining FireScope, Kevin worked at Siebel Systems where he was a member of Siebel's Executive Committee and served as the head of Sales and General Manager of European operations. He also filled the roles of Senior Vice President of Business Development, Vice President of Legal Affairs and Chair of the Siebel Pricing Committee. As Siebel's chief legal officer, Kevin helped CEO and founder Tom Siebel take Siebel Systems public in June 1996. Prior to this, he held various management and legal positions in Gupta Corporation, NETg and National Education Corporation. Kevin was a Litigation Associate with the law firm of Schramm & Raddue in Santa Barbara California, and also served as Atrari Inc.'s first Law Clerk while attending the University of Santa Clara School of Law. Kevin also attended the University of California at Davis where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Agricultural Economics.

 

Thomas Chin

Thomas Chin, Executive Vice President

Tom has spent over 25 years helping emerging technology companies develop new markets, expand sales and execute their go to market strategies. He has extensive experience in channel development, and strategic alliances. His recent experience includes leading NetApp's (NASDAQ: NTAP) Asia Pacific operations where he grew their revenue from $4M when he started to over $300M when he left in 2005. Tom also spent time at Riverbed as their Vice President of Sales for Asia where he helped Riverbed (NASDAQ: RVBD) experience over 80% year over year growth while he was there. Tom is responsible for leading FireScope's go to market strategy in terms of opening up new markets, strategic alliances and partnering.

 

Peter Molloy

Peter Molloy, Executive Vice President, Global Sales

Peter Molloy has spent the last decade in senior sales executive roles as a change agent and driving strategic account sales. Peter spent five years at Computer Associates, where among other achievements, he closed the largest single transaction ($37M) in the APAC region. In 2002 Peter joined NetApp, and was a leader in changing NetApp's focus from delivering storage appliances to selling sophisticated enterprise data management solutions. As the Director of Strategic Accounts for the APAC region, Peter was responsible for evolving and leading sales strategies. He drove the development of the Shared Storage Framework into a repeatable sales model which has been released globally as NetApp's Dynamic Data Center (NDDC). The solution is currently being deployed in NetApp's largest global enterprise customers and is a key differentiator in many of NetApp's wins since coming to market. During his tenure at NetApp, Peter sold over $250M of storage related solutions, was awarded Sales Rep of the Year in 2003, Sales Team Leader of the Year in 2005 and delivered more than 50% of the Australian country number on multiple occasions while exceeding his quota every year. As a result of providing strategic guidance through the development of the Shared Storage Framework, and having a track record for winning large and complex data management solutions, Peter is invited to present to strategic account teams around the world on strategic selling strategies as well as delivering key messages to global iconic companies. Pete also spent 12 years in the Australian Army through 1997 where he achieved the rank of Major.

 

Josh Levine

Josh Levine, VP North American Channels

Josh has over 18 years experience in business development, channel partnerships and marketing in the technology and entertainment industries. A five year veteran of Microsoft, Josh drove channel partnerships and global OEM business development deals for Microsoft.com and ran the Windows web, content, and community team for the Windows Group. During his tenure at Microsoft, Josh launched the first corporate-wide search and advertising strategic partnership between Microsoft and Google and was part of the Windows XP launch team, driving partnership programs for Microsoft.com. After Microsoft, Josh was VP of Marketing at Crush or Flush, a mobile social networking platform where he was responsible for marketing and customer acquisition. This venture backed startup generated over 1.5M unique and validated mobile registrations, 100M monthly page views, and signed contractual partner agreements with all U.S. carriers within its first 18 months. Prior to moving to Seattle, Josh worked for both Disney in Business Planning and Development and for small growth companies, focused on channel development, customer acquisition and product launches. Josh holds an M.B.A. in Information Technology from The Paul Merage School of Business at UC Irvine.
